sixties love

romance was born dress and ellery boots via velvet lane

there's something decidedly vintage-y about these pictures which makes me a strange amount of happy. thanks to the guys at velvet lane i have finally found the perfect cream ankle boot, by none other than one of my favourite labels (ellery, i salute you). i'm thinking these boots wouldn't ordinarily automatically resemble something from the sixties (i've already planned way too many white on white outfits including these), but paired with this psychedelic print dress by romance was born, it looks like i have 60s chic sorted. velvet lane is one of my favourite australian stores who stock labels such as ellery, josh goot and karen walker; visit them here or read my guest post on their blog here!

YES YES YES! I cringe at the thought of sixties fashion, but this is just so right. Kneeling at your feet in worship right now.

You don't seem to wear many printed pieces, but it suits you! I love prints so much that I always forget to buy plain things to go with them.

Please tell me how you afford all your beautiful outfits while you're studying! I'm dying to know!

@caris: 3 major ways:
1. i only save up and buy what i really like, and don't buy 'filler' pieces i know i won't like in a week;
2. i sell clothes i know i won't get enough wear out of to afford buying new ones; and
3. ebay is your friend!

hope that helps xx
